FAQ's

How does freeze spray (circuit chiller) work?

The spray typically contains a mixture of volatile substances, either HFC-134a or HFO-1234ze refrigerants, which have a very low boiling point. When the spray is applied to electronic components or circuits, it rapidly evaporates and absorbs heat from the surrounding area. This causes an instant drop in temperature, effectively cooling down the targeted components. Freeze Spray Learn more in our Blog Follow our Linkedin

What is freeze spray (circuit chiller) ?

Freeze spray, also known as circuit chiller or electronic freeze spray, is a type of aerosol spray used in electronics and electrical maintenance. It is designed to rapidly cool down electronic components and circuits for various purposes, such as troubleshooting, identifying faulty components, or locating thermal issues. Does antistatic freeze spray (circuit chiller) leave a residue?

The alcohol additive that gives Antistatic Freeze Spray its antistatic properties evaporates completely, leaving no residue behind.

How can freeze spray (circuit chiller) avoid static build up?

Antistatic Freeze Spray is specifically formulated with dissipative properties to minimize static electricity build-up. These formulations contain additives that help conduct static charges away from the surface being cooled, reducing the risk of damaging sensitive components.

Is computer duster and freeze spray the same?

Technically they are different products for very different purposes. In many cases, though, the chemical contents are very similar or even identical. In those cases, the valve controls whether you spray vapor (duster) or liquid (freeze spray). Although you can turn over the can to spray liquid, in the case of duster, and vapor in the case of freeze spray, you are taking a risk going outside the intended function of the product. For example, if using an HFC-152a based duster, we do not recommend using as a freezer because of its flammable properties.
