What Are the Packaging Options for Chemtronics Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) Wipes?

Pop-up Dispensing Tubs

The most common packaging option is a plastic pop-up tub, where the wipe dispenses from the lid. The wipes are stored in a perforated roll, so as one wipe is pulled out, the next wipe partially dispenses in preparation for future application.

Refill rolls are available as a lower cost option and a plastic waste reduction method. These rolls come sealed in a foil pack. Just cut open the top of the bag, feed the wipe from the center of the roll through the top lid of the tub, and you are ready to go.

Pop-up dispensing tubs are well suited for touch-up cleaning of automatic printer stencils and cleaning of semi-automatic printer stencils during and at the end of production runs. They are also commonly used for light cleaning and degreasing.

Dispensing Box with Spring-Loaded Top

While standard pop-up dispensing tubs are ideal for most applications, the perforations between each wipe can generate a slight amount of lint. For more critical applications, Chemtronics offers precut isopropyl alcohol wipes in a plastic dispensing box. The wipes are c-folded, so it is easy to grab the edge of the top wipe without cross-contaminating others. The lid is spring loaded, so while using only one hand, you can open the lid, remove a wipe, and close the lid. This further minimizes contamination.

Individually Wrapped Wipe Packets

Chempad® Presaturated Wipes are lint-free cleaning felt wipes which are super saturated with 91% isopropyl alcohol (IPA). These highly effective cleaning wipes are ideal for cleaning sensitive surfaces, fiber optic connectors, electronics components, touch keypads, keyboards, instrument housings, and magnetic tape heads. Each wipe is foil wrapped and packaged fifty to a box, which works well for field service. Wipe packets eliminate cross contamination that can result from removing wipes from a larger container. Full saturation is also guaranteed, with each wipe as fresh as the last.

Critical Cleaning Alcohol Wipes

While the types of alcohol wipes and packaging detailed above are well suited for applications as diverse as industrial degreasing and electronics cleaning, there are specialized alcohol wipes available for more critical applications like aerospace production areas and medical device assembly.

Coventry™ Hi-Purity Polyester Alcohol Wipes are saturated with semiconductor grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA) filtered through 0.05 µm media, either 100% or with 30% water deionized to at least 18 MΩ and filtered through 0.2 microns filter. The superior purity makes these alcohol wipes effective and safe in the most critical applications, without leaving residues that are conducive to microbial growth or dendritic growth in electronics.

These laser-sealed wipes are made of monofilament "no-run" polyester, to prevent loose fibers. Coventry™ Hi-Purity Polyester Alcohol Wipes are class 10 (M3, ISO 4) cleanroom processed and packaged, and cleanroom double-bagged with resealable inner-bags to avoid solvent loss.

Coventry™ Hi-Purity Alcohol Econowipes™ are poly-cellulose wipes saturated with 70% semiconductor grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The wipe material is non-woven 55% cellulose and 45% polyester, which is more economical than the knit polyester, but has greater saturation.
